About

Copernicus
Olympiad

Copernicus Olympiad was established in 2020 in Houston, TX, by passionate educators with international experience in education. The name Copernicus is derived from the famous Polish mathematician, physicist, and astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who proposed the revolutionary theory that the planets revolve around the Sun, contrary to the then-prevailing belief that Earth was the center of the Universe.

Copernicus Olympiad offers students from all around the world the opportunity to compete in the following disciplines:

  • Natural Science Olympiad
  • Physics and Astronomy Olympiad
  • Copernicus Film Festival
  • Copernicus Entrepreneurship Olympiad (CEO)
  • Mathematics Olympiad

Students from 3rd grade to 12th grade are eligible to participate in the above disciplines. Copernicus Olympiad is growing day by day and currently has contestants from 49 countries around the globe.
